⏲️ Logging 21h of studying languages
March 18-24, 2024 | Exploring my New Gadget for language studies
📊 My Study Stats for Week 12:
Mandarin : 11h 30m
French : 6h 4m
Japanese: 3h 11m
Cantonese: 3m
Total hours logged/week: 20h 50m
🇨🇳 Mandarin:
I was not able to actively study Mandarin Chinese this week because I just bought myself a tablet at the beginning of my week and I was trying to figure out how things work. However I wrote an essay and it was another terrible one like the one I wrote last week. So I need to rewrite and use words from the lesson than I'm using right now. Podcasts I listened to were about electric cars and is grammar important when studying languages. I started going through another chinese tb from scratch to see if I can understand everything. If it works, I might share it in a new post.

🇫🇷 French:
This was a great week for French because I finally started using French textbooks. While I was happy I started using text books, I have hard time knowing the meaning of words in French. So by midweek I started using Quizlet to learn some vocabulary in hope that I can improve a bit faster. And I have began to hear about the conjugations in French and I'm scared at the back of my head if I should continue studying French. I also studied French pronunciation this week as usual.

🇯🇵 Japanese:
This week was spent on reading and reviewing the long due cards in the Kanji App. I started using Shin Nihongo book to test my so far Japanese knowledge and the score I got was horrible. I only realized that my Japanese is very poor. I want to do a portion everyday and repeat it until I know every single question.
🇭🇰 Cantonese:
I watched a food video where only the names of food were said in Cantonese and the rest in English so I stopped watching.
💡 NEW GADGET:
I got myself a new tablet to study in a more efficient way. I like using pen and paper but always get stuck how many notes to buy or what to write in every notebook, so with a digital notebook, I wouldn’t have to worry about it. Also, to study using e-books because my laptop is bit slow these days. At first, I did not think I can spend time studying because I was into learning tips & tricks of my new tech. Well, things turned out pretty good by God’s grace. A great week of exploring and studying languages logging a near total of 21h was never imagined by me.
